Help!, The 3 position valve on my CH system only goes to HW, I can overide it manually by leaving the HW switch on the controller on and the CH (central heating) switch off. When the CH switch is on there's quite a bit of noise. Does anyone have any ideas whats up?? I think? the controller is ok as the relay pull-in when CH of HW is switched on, could it be the valve.

If the noise is from the valve, it is probably the motor inside the valve head which has failed.
These can usually be replaced without removing the valve.
