Hoover HDC6 Heater Element

I've got a Hoover HDC6 condenser Tumble Dryer.
I have bought a new Heater Element.
The wires from the heater element disappear inside the case.
I can not work out how to get to the connectors at the end to replace the unit.
I've tried everything, almost got the whole machine apart!
Anyone got any ideas?
