Further to my other thread I'm reasonably confident that the controller is at fault. I was going to do the sensible thing & get it done by Hoover under their fixed price repair scheme but they can't come out for nearly a week. So I may have to be brave & tackle it myself.

Just wondering if anyone can give some pointers for accessing it & anything to watch out for?

Edit - OK, if it helps anyone else:

You remove the fridge door (4 x Torx at the top & lift off hinge pin). The fascia with the LEDs & thermostat control is then just held to the front chassis with a clip. Pry this away gently & the whole thing lift out with the PCB held in place by two screws.

Anything to watch out for? Yes, go easy as when mine suddenly came away it near sheared off the the two mounting points for the PCB.
