hoover nextra condensor dryer stopped spinning

Hi my hoover nextra condensor dryer has stopped spinning round, it still heats up fine and when we took the top off and gave the drum a little push it span fine but then when it went to swap directions it stopped again but then span fine when we pushed it again.

Any ideas on what it could be and how i could fix it i have a young family and the thought of not having a tumble dryer gives me a head ache lol.x
