hoover six condenser dryer

my hoover condenser dryer worked perfectly until today. the filtercare light stays illuminate even after the filters have been cleaned and also the dryer no longer gets hot.
i have checked connectors etc, but found nowt.

Either the heater element is open circuit or toc open circuit.The heater is found by removing back panel-new heater looks slightly different to some older ones where they replaced thermal fuse with two stats.
