Horizontal banister fitting

I am fitting a horizontal banister (1m long) and was wondering the best place to buy the parts: handrail, baserail and spindles. Also are there any bits which are essential and should get?

Richard Burbridge supply standard parts for wooden balustrades which are widely available.

What else will you need? A newel post at each end, unless the balustrade is between two walls or something similar.
