Horse Hair in Plaster safety

Horse hair in the inch thick plaster I need to knock off .... thoughts / precautions on safety?

Just read the word anthrax that’s all... I’m sure I’ve been exposed to worse while doing this project.

I know this is a possibility but I have never heard of a case, it's certainly not common, what are the chances that horse had Anthrax anyway?
The dust is the main thing to beware of simply as an irritant so dust mask is essential
