horstman economy7 control

ive tried to set the timer on this unit but for some reason its not working when i reset it i can see the orange plate through the clear panel but not the blue one yet when i turn the timer i cant hear it click as the orange cam passes at 00.30am to come on but i hear it click as the blue passes the point at 06.30am to switch it off

did you not say

my dads water heater switch is faulty its a horstmann economy 7 quartz
which to replace is 60 quid can i buy a cheaper switch and replace it or do i have to replace like for like

or is this the new one?

if it is what does the manual say, and is it on "over ride"?
