A quick stupid question, how do you take off/loosen these types of hose clips without breaking or damaging them please?

But you won't be able to reuse them.
 
They look like crimped clips so not reusable. You could replace with jubilee clips afterwards if you want them to be reusable in future. Or you can get spring ones if they are small enough.

Thanks guys.. it is the first time i have come across these type of hose clips
 
Ooops.... looks like my little drawing fell foul of decency. Probably best I don’t replicate to avoid being sent to the sin bin:sneaky:
 
These are called Clic clips - well used in the motor trade and cause less distortion than jubilee clips and take up less space too.
There are special pliers to set and upset these clips .....I got mine from Cromwell tools and they are made by Kennedy.
