Is there a way of tightening the tap in to this without screwing the union to the wall first. There's no where on the hose union backplate to hold back on when tightening the tap. Thanks
An outside tap uses a female wall plate elbow or a wall plate union (which is the one I think you're talking about?), that just screws to the wall nice and tight with the 3 screws and then the outside tap just screws easily into that.
Not quite sure what else you are attempting here by fitting the tap into it first before screwing to the wall?
Thanks its screwing on to fibreglass cladding so can't screw the union backplate to this before screwing the tap in as its not strong enough. As said above I could screw to a scrap piece of wood first. Thanks.
