the hot water from the upstairs basin tap and kitchen sink tap dribble water instead of blowing the bottom out of the bowl! there is a 3meter horizontal run from the cwst then a vertical drop of approx 1.5meters before entering the hwc.would fitting a pump to the pipe put enough pressure on to encourage the hot water flow?????

When the CSS is in the loft the vertical distance is usually more like 2.5 metres, and when in the airing cupboard there isn't a horizontal run, so you seem to have a strange set-up there.
