Hi all

Water dribbles at the tap when open and take approx 5mins for it to flow fully. We have a gravity fed tank. Weird thing is the basin tap is fine.

what could be the issue?

Thanks I thought that, and have bridged hot & cold w/m outlets to try and get rid of the air. Seems to work for a short while and then back to waiting

Is there a high point in the hw pipe to the bath where air may accumulate ?

Yep - airlock. A bubble of air develops in the hot water tank, you turn the tap on and the bubble goes into the pipe, where it sticks. Get the routing of your hot pipe to the bath, does it go up, over, then down to the bath?

Hi

taken panel off and the pipe from cyclinder (downstairs) just comes up straight into the bath

When you screw the tap head up and down, does the hot one feel exactly the same as the cold one, and take the same number of turns?

It’s a shower mixer tap now. Same happened when I had individual taps
