Occasionally all my radiators heat up when DHW is selected on my timer with the result that the water in the hot water tank doesn`t heat up. I can sometimes stop this by turning off the electrical supply to the boiler/timer and reselecting DHW again. I can sometimes go for days without this happening and thinking that everything is OK then for no obvious reason the fault occurs again. I am suspicious about my motorised valve. What do the experts think before I call in someone to have a look?

It's your Diverter Valve the switch inside is causing the motor to stall in CH only mode only cure is replacement. Temporary solution is to take cylinder stat off cylinder then hot water will not satisfy and switch to heating only.
