Hot Rads / Cold Water

Hi I wonder if anyone out there can help. My grav/fed system is giving me HOT rads but cold water. Its an old boiler Glow Worm Space Saver 45-60
It has worked fine for the last 2 years I have lived in this house.
Last week we put on the CH for the first time in about 7 months and the house heated fine but we had no hot water for 2 days. Then the water began to heat as normal until today when it wont heat at all. The boiler and rads are on but the pipes going up to the loft where the tank is are cold. I've replaced the fuse in the HW switch but still no hot water. When I turn on the HW tap the header tank starts to empty but the outlet on the boiler is cold?[/b]

1st chech the f&e tank see if the ballvalve is stuck and the tank empty

What is the F&E tank? If this is the one that feeds in cold water to the tank then this is fine. I shut off the valve from this to the tank and after 5 mins the Hot tap ran off which makes me think there is no water getting to the tank from the boiler
