Hot then cold

Hi i was wondering if someone here can help me. I have a ravenheat combi boiler which is only about 18 months old but recently when im in the shower it has a tendancy to go boiling hot then cold hot cold and so on but if i use the shower when the heating is on the shower stays at a fine constant temperature.Am i right in thinking this is the thermostat on its way out? is this a costly job to get done? as im guessing this is not a guarentee claim even tho you expect things like this to last longer than 18 months.

thought this thread was about combis when I read the title.

anyway, put simply you'll find most guys wont touch that make with a bargepole. have you tried getting in touch with the guy who installed it?

had a bit of a look around here and other sites and am now kinda thinking it is the diaphram valve which is a bit more **** because looks like its gonna be about £50 for the part alone

so buy a diaphram and read the book and change it
its not rocket sience
