Hi
Really hope someone can help with this.
Current setup is a cold water tank in the loft with hot water tank below it. Standard boiler is in the cellar. There is a pump on the shower for a power shower.
During the summer months we have no problems whatsoever with the thermostat set to heat the HW tank 3 times a day (morning, noon and night).
Now it's getting colder we have the central heating on and we get constant air locks in the hot water system. Holding the tap on a mixer and running cold water through the pipes removes the problem temporarily.
Anyone know the link between having the heating on and airlocks. Could the hot water tank heating the water too much and cause air to come out of the water?
Thanks in advance
