Afternoon all,

Weird problem with my old Worcester 240.

When I run a hot tap, the water takes ages to heat up (you need to run the tap for a minute or more to get warm water and two minutes or more for hot water). I thought this was strange because the radiators heat up in no time at all when the heating is switched on. Also, when the heating is on the hot water (scalding in fact) takes no time to come through.

Anyway, getting off track, if I run the hot water for a few minutes, the radiators heat up! Yes, with the heating off!

Now a while back I had a problem with the hot water not heating at all unless the CH was on so I changed the diverter valve and expansion vessel (due to a different fault) and all seemed to work. However, this was in winter so after the initial test to see if it was working without the heating, the heating has been on more or less all the time we're in the house so it's not been noticed until the weather took a turn for the better.

Do you think it's likely that I've fitted the diverter incorrectly or is there another fault which springs to mind?

Cheers

Fred.
