Hot water but no central heating

Hav got a Vaillant EcoTec Pro 24 combi boiler.

Hot water is working fine, so can take a bath, use hot water in sinks etc

But I tried to put the central heating on recently & the radiators didn't heat up when so turned the valve to 3 or 4.

Boiler pressure seems ok at around 1.5 & getting no error messages.

Have changed batteries in the thermostat.

I've reset the boiler a few times but not done anything.

Original boiler installed just over 1
0yrs ago.

Also the timer on the boiler doesn't work anymore. Is a mechanical analogue timer.
Can I replace it with a digital one?

And what is life of a combi boiler? Don't want to spend money replacing parts if better to replace boiler.

is this the timer from the original boiler and not replaced at the time the boiler was replaced

the hot water on a combi is on demand and so the timer I have is just for the CH -
if your timer is broken, then perhaps it has just turned the boiler off

I have a digital timer and wireless themostat installed
mine is a drayton timer , lifetime single channel
