British gas installed a boiler and hot water Indirect cylinder just over a year ago which was a good price and a good service. however i have just installed a wet room and went to do the final connection to the cylinder with a 28mm top entry flage for the power shower. But i have found there is a 22mm male connection comming out of the cylinder which is cast in! So no way to get the 28mm top flange in! House is five bed with two bathrooms and downstairs w/c. Should this not have been a 28mm? i have raised an email with BG but no reply as yet. Any ideas as to what it should be, or what i can quote to BG

Thanks in advance

Your hot water pipes will be 22mm anyway so what would be the point of the cylinder having a 28mm connection that would be reduced straight to 22mm for what you already had installed
Its been in a year and it is obviously working ok otherwise you would have noticed, YOU are now altering your system so you will have to use a 28mm essex flange and go into the side of the cylinder

The original had 28mm out the top and carried on for the distribution to the rest of the house, reducing down to 22 for the bath and 15 for basin/ kitchen etc when it needed.
