pipe sizes for gravity feed hot water.

I am about to replace the hot water tank in my CH system. The connections for the cyclinder seem to be for 22mm pipe, but my hot water system has gravity feed for the hot water, and the pipes to the cyclinder are 28mm. Do I need a diffeent cyliner or is it OK to connect to the cylinder using a reducer from 28mm down to 22mm.

If so is it OK to have a couple of feet of 22mm pipe joining the 28mm to to the cycliner ?

Are you sure you have bought a standard indirect cylinder and not a fast recovery one?

All the standard ones I know off have 1" male threads to take 28mm copper.

All the standard cylinder unions I use are either 1"x 22mm or 11/4" x 28mm!!
To connect 1"" to 28mm I normally use a FI x Tx compression fitting!!

Actually it lost me as well

The bent mi x copper is a Conex 402.

The 303 is a female iron x copper straight connector.
