Hello

Over the past few days for no apparent reason my hot water tank (see the lovely first photo) has been over flowing. Had a look, checked the ball valve, which is ok. Noticed water coming up from the cylinder below through the pipe (see the lovely second photo). Any reason for this? Quick and easy fix?

Cheers

It may be because one or both of your immersions have failed, or the stats controlling them have failed. The pipe inside is an expansion pipe. Check the temperature settings on the stats behind the silver covers, be careful not to touch anything wired up that you aren't sure about.

Replaced one of the immersions and noticed that the valve was dripping so replaced that too while I was there. All working beautifully!

Cheers for the replies.
