Didn't realise it's an SE :D
Still stands what I said though.
And yes still taking the occasional blue pill for pain.

Are you suggesting this kingfisher could be a band A or B Mr Hailsham?
Of course not - I had a Kingfisher at my last house (1992-2006) with gravity HW and pumped heating, which I quickly converted to C Plan.

I've just cottoned on: SE = Standard Efficiency, as compared to HE (High Efficiency -i.e condensing). I thought it was part of the Kingfisher model name.

Had you of gone into the plumbing and heating industry then you would of known potterton didn't produce an SE model.;)

Google can only help you to a point ....experience and hands on being key , especially when advising on an open forum.:censored:

make sure the thermostat phial is pushed in all the way,
follow the little copper wire from the thermostat dial and it should go into a little pocket on the heat exchanger secured with a split pin.

Are you saying that you can remember the model name, and variation, of all boilers that have ever existed? (There are 99 versions of the Kingfisher!)

99 versions??
Although there isn't 99 different models , possibly no more than 10. ;)
.....and yes I've installed/serviced/repaired all of them.
