Thank you, the spindle in the brass, does not move freely, had to use pliers to move it.

It should be just a lottle too tight for bare fingers to move it, but quite easy to move with pliers. If it is, then it is fine, assuming the movement is also smooth/ not gritty.

You can buy just the replacement actuator head, but if the actual water valve has failed, then the valve is not usually sold without the head - you buy both as a pair.

Your last two posts are contradictory.
If you select ONLY hot water on your programmer / timer ,do the radiators heat up ?
And if you select central heating only ,does hot water cylinder heat up ?

To answer your questions:

If you select ONLY hot water on your programmer / timer ,do the radiators heat up ? - Yes
And if you select central heating only ,does hot water cylinder heat up ? - No

How it was previously:

- Selecting Central Heating would also heat the Hot Water
- Selecting Hot water would not heat anything as the Hot water tank was boiling hot

How it is now:

- Selecting Hot Water also Heats Central Heating
- Selecting Central Heating, does Not heat the Hot Water.

Thanks,
