hot water issues!!

hi everybody!! im in need of a massive favour!!
i have a combi boiler , halstead finest gold. recently i have been having some problem with the hot water. it keeps turning on and after 2 mins it becomes cold and then hot again after another 4 mins!! can anyone help me out and tell me what is the problem please.and by the way my central heating works superb without any problem. thank u.let me know what is the problem please.[/list]

The most likely cause is a partially blocked secondary heat exchanger - the bit that heats up your hot water. Because the passage through is restricted, the water in it overheats and the thermistor shuts things down until the temperature falls once more. It's called cycling.
