Hot water/ pump question

Your hot water cylinder will almost certainly have an immersion heater, switch this on for lovely hot water

My immersion heater element broke sometime ago and I never bothered to replace cause the boiler is a lot quicker. I currently use the immersion heater socket for my power shower with a low amp fuse in.

Ah right...might this situation be an incentive to get that done also?

Suppose it could be if I hadn't taken up the socket with the power shower pump

Depends where your pump is on your system as to whether you need to drain the entire system or not (IE if it's upstairs you only need drain upstairs). Remember to add inhibitor when you refill.

Most pumps are standard 130mm port to port.

The Wilo Smart A has a 5 year manufactures guarantee but I prefer to fit Grundfos.

Buy another Griundfos and you will only have to change the head assuming you have a 4mm allen key!!
