Hi all

My hot water feeder tank's ball cock valve was dripping, so I changed the washer. It was a diagphram washer for a Torbeck float valve (one that sits in vertically so it is shorter!!).

Once changed, it is not leaking even worse and now that ball cock does not shut the water off when fully floating.

My next door neighbour and I can not figure out what the problem is. Can anyone help this DIY novice!!

Thanks

torbecks are no good for storage tanks, try a fluidmaster side entry valve.

Surely its a full brass ball crane with a solid rubber diaphragm, it sounds like you have a WC float valve in your CWST.

It does seem a tad out of place. I figured out the problem now and it's fixed, but will be looking into changing it for a better option in the summer. Thanks
