I need to buy a new hot water cylinder for my new system but wondered what i should be looking for.

I have bought a 32kw Ariston system boiler. The hot water tank will go in the new bathroom in my extenison. I have just put the floor in so installing this and getting hot water and heating back into the house is my next job.

Any pointers please.
thanks

SIze? Vented or unvented? Thermal store? .....

Get a good big one. That will be handy if you want a big bath after washing up.

A wide one is easier to heat with an immersion heater than a thin tall one, as the immersion can reach 27" max from the top. Water below that will not be heated when you are using the immersion, as you will do when the boiler goes wrong. Have an immersion heater fitted for that reason.

Thanks for replies so far.

What sort of size should i be looking at? It is for a large 3 bed semi for young family (well soon)

I guess i mean unvented since it is a system boiler unless i am missing something.

The unit is intended to go in a small cupboard in the bathroom, inside which i am hoping to include a small airing cupboard too.

I was just looking a these
