hot water tap not running

help, i wanted to put off the hot and cold water to fit some valves, i put off the main water and shut off a valve i think was going upto the header tank. the hot and cold stopped i fixed valves and turned on both stop cocks. cold fine the hot runs for a minute then comes to a halt. any ideas what ive done wrong or what i can do to fix it??

HI

there is airlock in the pipe.connect a hose pipe to the cold tap and other end to the hot tap.open hot tap fully then open cold tap slowly leave it for 30-50 seconds or until mains pressure pushes air back into the tank .

Did you shut off the hot water with a gate valve? ie a red circular handle you turn?...if so it may have jammed partially closed. Check it opens if not change it
