Hi all.
I have a gravity feed system, have just fitted a adey Magna clean in-between my zone valve as no access to return pipe to boiler.
My cylinder stat is new and set to 60. But water is red hot.
Emersion heater is switched off
Zone valves seem to be working as levers are tight when no demand and slack when demands on.
When heating is on could water be flowing into the hot water side and increasing the water temp even though there is no demand on hot water.
Or could this radiator possibly cause an issue. Traced pipes taped flow with blue tape and return with black tape.
Pictures attached.
Thanks

Have you tried turning down the new cylinder stat?

Yes iv taken down to 40 but it's still too hot at the moment it is completely turned to the off position and will leave it till late afternoon to and check water temp.

Have you perhaps wired the stat using the wrong terminals on the stat? So instead of switching the demand off, its switching demand on as the temperature in the tank increases..

Cylinder stat is a honeywell has positions.
C - which I have a brown wire attached to and goes to terminal 14
Com - which I have a blue wire attached to terminal 15 as per schematic picture
The 2 white flex is the connection for cyl stat.

Post a photo of cylinder stat attached to cylinder.

It will show us where on the cylinder it’s located and if it’s installed as it should be, eg touching the cylinder and not the insulation, but you can just check this if you wish.

Those wires - brown and blue - are in different cables.

Why two cables?

Ah, ok.

I thought you meant both went to the cylinder stat,

and on closer look I have mistaken which brown is which. Sorry.
