Wondering if you can help me troubleshoot our washing machine that keeps tripping the circuit breaker. I think some water got into the plug and that caused the circuit breaker to initially trip. Since then the machine does it continually - we've tried other appliances on the socket and they seem ok.

I can use a multimeter, so any pointers on how I can troubleshoot what part might be shorted? Is there a part inside the machine for the mains, before it gets to the main board?

Many thanks

Unplug the heater then the motor see if it still trips. One of them is poss causing it to go.
