Hotpoint CTD00G Tumble Dryer

Hi there

I'm having some trouble with a tumble dryer and need some help please.
My Hotpoint CTD00G tumble dryer is working fine but there is no heat.

Simple i thought. I changed the thermostats, but still no heat???

The heater unit looks fine and i've also checked the front thermostat with a meter and that checks out fine.

Any ideas please.....

Is there a voltage at the element terminals?

Terrible with model numbers at times yours has a pump at the rear I believe ??.

The pump gets blocked with crud and the pump float lifts stopping it from heating.

Need to check the water path ways from the condenser, the condenser itself, the pump and float chamber.

Having more trouble with this dryer.

Last time I Found the rubber impellor had come off the pump.

It's been fine since then, but now it doesn't seem to be drying well.

All the filters are clear, the condenser unit is clear and the pump is free of fluff.

I'ts taking twice as long as usual?

Is it stuck on low heat or high heat.

Easiest way to check if the heater is all working correctly is to get a plug in power meter and see if it is drawing around 1300 or 2500 watts.
