I have a Hotpoint VTD00G tumble dryer (its quite a basic one). Recently I found that the timer would stop going round whilst the tumble dryer was running, meaning the tumble dryer would run indefinitely. The only way to stop it was to manually move the timer to off. I also noticed that the tumble dryer is not heating either.
I have checked the thermostats and the heater element and all have continuity.
I am guessing it may be a timer issue - would this also affect the heating?
