Anyone help ?. Hotpoint dishwasher DF61N. Not washing very well ,drains ok,water gets hot but doesn't seem enough pressure to spin the spray bars. Cleaned them all out, took the bottom filters out including the cover underneath, all clear. Water is coming out of the bars but not spinning, but if you touch them they spin by hand freely.

How much water is it taking in?Open the door and see, should reach the salt pot cap.

No where near that only seems to be bit in bottom,if you open the door when on a wash cycle it just seems to drain away.

The problem is due to the pressure system being blocked. This machine is a badged Bosch machine and suffers with gunge in pipes and chambers.

It had a repair just before the warranty ran out and they replaced a large plastic type "thing" on l/h side with loads of channels/chambers etc that was all gunged up.Bet it's blocked again. Because it was under warranty he just replaced everthing, any idea if they can be flushed/cleaned out.

Hi,
The so called plastic thing is a measuring tank, situated behind the side panel, these do get blocked at the top left hand side there is a small non return valve which allows air to escape while the tank is filling, if this is blocked there is not enought water getting into the wash chamber.
This can be cleaned, but sometimes you cannot clear the blockage & have to replace the tank.

Thanks for that, have run it through a couple of hot cycles and a Finish cleaner cycle and to top it of,on its wash cycle added a splash of dilute hydrochloric acid (empty machine ) we used to use it for descaling lime in water heaters.Theory was if it could descale lime a bit of sludge won't stand in it's way.
After all that it has worked perfectly and water level higher and spray bars going around.
