I have been puzzling over a fan in a Hotpoint HS53X.
The fan does not come on straight away, takes about 30 mins before it starts to turn.
When the controls are put in to the on position for the oven, the input voltage at the fan coil goes from 0V to 240V and the magnetic pull can be identified.
But the fan does not operate.
I have tested the resistance of the coil windings and this reads about 80 ohms.
The fan is a little stiff but does not attempt to move even after lubrication and a helping hand to turn.
Is it a fan issue or are we looking at some thermostatic controlling device?
