Hotpoint fridge freezer

This is an old model. It it is a small freezer, two compartment, over a fridge.
The freezer compartment freezes outside the door and over the top of the freezer compartment. I have read about this happening at the bottom, but not found anything about it freeziing over the top front. Its in the kitchen so not in a cold environment.
