Hi,I got a hotpoint FUFM181G fridge freezer, the freezer compartment is fine but my fridge is not getting cold,we've turned the dials to maximum but nothing seems to happen, was going to switch it off but haven't got anywhere to put the frozen food, any help would be greatly excepted.

Some hotpoints are known to freeze up at the back inside.
Unfortunately you will need to switch off and defrost for 24hrs, mop up and switch on to test.

Be sure to clean the drain hole inside at the back of the fridge compartment too!

A hair dryer will speed up the process by evenly heating the inside back and rear panel butnot too hot.

Thanks yardie for the reply, looked in the fridge compartment there is a grill in the bottom corner would that be the drain hole ?

Could be!

Theres usually a hole in the middle about 1/4 way up on the back panel inside the fridge compartment in a gully where the defrosted water collects this leads out to the rear where there will be a pipe that the water trickles down that collects in a tray sat on top of the motor, heat from motor evaporates the water.
If the pipe is accessible clean it or at least check its clear, blow through it.
