The seal on my Hotpoint HM312I seal has split so needs replacing.
Haven’t ordered the part yet as need to be sure that I can actually fit it. Have looked at various videos showing you how to BUT in all those cases the seal fits into a grove/channel around the door.
Having looked at mine as best I can seems that there is no grove and pulling it fairly firmly it dos not budge.
Looks as if it is either held in place by double sided tape or trapped between the interlining and the door but can see no way of removing the interlining.
Have asked Hotpoint but they can’t tell me anything over the phone and say I would have to call out an engineer to advise.
Anyone know how the seal is fitted on this model?
Is double sided sticky tape a common method?
