Any one know much about these?

Seems like ours is leaking water through the front... i think its caused by the drain at the back being blocked.... any ideas?

no idea, but when i was learning with HP that was how the engineer did it.

He told me it is directly above the compressor, on the compressor is a "little pot" if you will, the water collects in there and is "boiled off" by the heat from the compressor

he also said it was quite common for the hole to get blocked with crud, and that is all you do to fix it

Put some paper towel across the hole, Pull the machine out, clean the pipe end and blow back up it.
If it's integrated, long cable tie is best.

Its not an integral machine, the Fridge is on the top and the Freezer on the bottom..

How long will the pipe be?

I dont want to pull out the Unit as its on a lino florr that rips very easy.... so im wantoing to clean it without moving if poss...... Is it??

a pipe cleaner really does work, used to take all of 30 seconds, i never thought of a cable tie

This used to happen with mine. I found that the trickle drain in the bottom of the fridge would ice up quite quickly, letting the condensation in the back of thr fridge run under the salad bins. The only way to clear it was to allow the freezer to defrost.

Yes absolutely. water in fridge now sorted!

What I am having to do every day though is to put a coat hanger all the way through the drain pipe to make sure it is clear. I can do this from the front of the fridge without causing too much disturbance to the food in it! If I forget one day and it blocks again then I have to defrost the freezer until the ice in the drain pipe melts and the coat hanger can go through once more. I suspect there is something broken.

In my fridge an unwound coat hanger is exactly the right length!

Tip a cup of boiling water down the hole it will melt the ice and prob solved.
