open the door look at the lip that overhangs at the front ,undo 2 screws panel comes off,stat is dead centre silver looking 3 wires on it .undo the locking nut and pull out ,the phial is a long piece of metal that goes down the tube to the back ,cost of stat under a tenner, google is your friend .
