Hotpoint ultima washing machine problem

Machine packed up at the weekend

it got to it's spin cycle and then failed spin and drain, just carried on washing, then when it finished, the drum still had water in it and the door lock wouldnt come off.....

I tried the spin and rinse cycle aagain but it just continued to fill and wash again, all other programs didnt work.

I then turned te power off, open the door and drained the machine through the front by tiping it forward then the remaining water came out of the drain tube...

Powered it up and all seemed to be working o.k, all programs seemed ok put it on the spin cycle and it worked when empty, and the auto door lock turned off... then tried to rinse and spin the wet clothes and it packed up again..same as before, no spin / drain and door lock stayed on.

Any ideas whats wrong ....knackered pump maybe??

poss jammed pump take pump apart and look inside. model number would help

put the outlet pipe into a buket on the floor, if it empties pump is not blocked, if it doesnt pump or filter is blocked

it was a blocked pump

all working fine again now
