hotpoint washing machine door...

My Hotpoint Aquarious (15months old) washing machine door wont open
after completion of wash cycle...checked drain off plug (OK) door light OFF!

handle jammed or broken ,remove lid and release the lock to check

Thanx, but how to remove lid? erm !which lid? Sorry to be such a dummy
but am new to this forum...so please explain.

2 screws at the rear of lid ,then hard slap on the lid front with palm of hand, lid slides backwards .

Hi Rocks,
found interlock after opening washer (top) but cannot see a way
to activate interlock (manually) to open door...have foto but dont know if I can download it here, can you help?

on the back of the lock is a small chrome lever ,push it to the right, lock will undo.

silver lever not found...its all plastic in there and nothing to move
at all that I can see...maybe its ALL electronicall activatewd on aquarus 321.

Rocks...foundit!.... with the aid of dentist mirror, its very tight in there and little room to move about much less see.
Any idea wot to do next? I mean is it a new interlock needed-if so hotpoint
should give me a new one (I think they guarantee parts for 2 years)

is the handle loose, does the mc empty.also try and push the inner panel near the lock outwards so the lock does not jam against the panel.

Gotcha! will try that..but must hava cuppa to settle me nerves,LOL!
