Hotpoint WD72 drum wobble all of a sudden!

Last week we heard the washer make a loud ping noise and then the drum seemed to wobble like it was out of balance or something and was noisy, on taking the top of the washer I noticed a broken spring which I replaced, the noise seems to have gone, but it still wobbles?

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Are the dampers still sitting in their support brackets at the bottom of the machine?

I did wonder about the dampers, but they look as if they are in the right position. I tried to check the bearings, but also couldn't feel any play, but I'm no expert!
