Hotpoint Wf860 washing machine not completing cycle

I have a hotpoint Wf860 washing machine. The bearings failed on it the other week so I had it apart and replaced them. Since then it won't finish a cycle. It hangs at the one minute mark. The conditioner remains in the drawer as well. It does drain if I cancel the programme and put it on a spin cycle. I tested the heater and it has 29 ohms resistance but my suspicion still lies with this part. I don't want to chuck loads at this as we are moving house and the machine is staying. Can anyone suggest what I can check next. Cheers
