Hi all, (and best wishes)

this washer sounds bad on spinning. It's like a loud hollow sound, not banging. I've tried to move the drum to check the bearing as you normally would, but there's no play. When you turn drum by hand whilst empty, the same hollow noise is there, just lower.

Could this just be the bearing? I've never heard a noise like this when bearings are going on other machines, always a banging or rumbling noise.

If it is, is it worth getting bearing done on machine c. 6 years old too?

Many thanks,

Pete

could be a dry bearing have you ruled out its not the motor.

I haven't mate, but I see what you mean. If I unhook the belt and see if it still makes the noise....

I didn't think of a dry bearing too. Cheers
