Hotpoint WMA35 washing machine - noisy spin

We have the above washer. Over the last week it has become very very noisy on spin and now sounds as though there is a brick in the drum when spinning - although there isn't!

When empty and I spin the drum by hand it feels rough and does not spin smoothly. Wondering if a bearing or something has gone?

Any ideas?
