Hi all my washing machine was making hell of a noise on spin. Now it trips the electric when trying to wash a load. Do you think I need to replace brushes or anything else.

If I do a cold wash with hardly any clothes it seemed to be OK, but of course I would like to have it fixed incase I do anymore damage

Is it worth fixing or should I just buy new

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

What is tripping? RCCB or RCBO which have a test button or MCB which does not?

If the drum has dropped and is very floppy, the bearing has gone and this would account for the noise.
Probably not economical to repair.

As it causes tripping it could be something else.
It could be that the heating element has become deformed and is touching the drum as it spins.
If you can repair it yourself ~£20?
If not, plus inspection and labour.

Depends on the cost of the machine.
