I'm a bit p1ssed off with my insurance broker for my BTLs. One of the policies recently renewed, up from £280 to £380. They also took the money 2 days before expiry (autorenewal.) I've left it this year but will shop around next year to see if can get better deal.

LV and Hastings are the same co, and one of the other popular ones.
If you phone and moan, several cos do a better price. Annoying..
Last time I insured an unoccupied house I was surpised how cheap it was. 1/10,000 of the house value.
