Hi, this is my first post... I’m not at all proficient in any type of DIY, I really don’t have a clue. Started stripping my dining room as I want to paint it and have done this, how bad it is really?
Have I ruined the plaster? Do all of these layers of paint have to come off first?

Look for a paper tiger wallpaper tool and Zinsser Dif wallpaper softener................I don't think you've ruined the plaster yet. Get the kit, and a paper stripping knife - like a filler knife but stiffer - Yes get all the old paper off. Come back for more advice
