How can I clean the jets on my washing machine?

The jets on my washing machine keep getting blocked up. I clean them with a toothbrush and pipe cleaners but they get blocked again very quickly.
If I take the top off the machine will I be able to get to them to give them a good clean?

Try a cup brush and mold cleaner. The brush has a long handle on.

You could change to washing tablets in a net bag in the drum.
