Hi all

My Aqualisa shower head snapped so I want to fit a new one. The old one used to slot over the pipe coming out of the wall and just screw into thewal, however as you can see this one doesnt. I asume I need a female connectoe of some sort to screw it into but all I have is a pipe. What do I need to do to fit it?

Cheers

Stan

If I was you I would get the aqualisa head with the fittings that fit over the pipe, they still make them as I fitted one last week.

The shower head you have is designed to fit in a 1/2" female fitting. For these I use a back plate. to fit one of these you would need to remove the tiles.

Thanks Mark, I actually have an aqualisa head too but the fittings are different compared to the old on. The old one had plastic innards whereas the new one is all metal and I am unsure how to fit it too.

Your description of the old fitting is actually what I fitted last week. I didn't supply the fittings so I don't know what model it was. It would be worth going to an independant plumbing/bathroom shop (i.e. not a retail shed ala B&Q, Bathstore, Wickes, etc) to see if they can identify the parts for you.

Looked on there before and theyre an absolute fortune, hence my purchase off ebay. It appears that the part is the same from the outside but the inside is different.
